An action and mystery filled tale Murder in the Garbage by Jerry A. Greenberg tells of how a young retired Navy Seal finds himself back to discover what other talents and ambitions he has, having joined the Seals right out of high school with no clear plan of what to do with his life once he had served his time with the Navy. Although Hank Boucher loved the Navy and was an extremely high performer during his career, too much action was getting the better of him after 15 years of service.

Now with one chapter closed this led Boucher back to finding out what to do with the next chapter of his life. Hank finds himself joining the CIA as that is the only option that seemed plausible to someone with his type of experience. Thinking the job with the CIA will be less action and more on intelligence and desk duties Boucher finds himself caught up with a Hispanic run Garbage company who smuggles stolen or illegal things through their garbage collection and disposal systems. When the company starts smuggling military equipment from a US Military airforce base, now that's when their dirty work caught the attention of the CIA.

Murder in the Garbage is well written and edited. Hardly any recognizable errors to point out. I would say it is a good short read. Quite entertaining with it stance of going back and forth between the two main characters lives both of which were ex military servicemen and how their current lives are shaping out to be.

The only drawback with this book is that it is probably to short for readers like myself looking for longer stories to take you away to some far away place. Alternating between two scenes based on the 2 main characters daily life the book is over before you realize it is complete.

I would rate this book as a 3 out of 4 rating mostly based on the storyline. Since the book covers two different perspectives of the 2 main characters it would be great if the novel was abit longer as to cover more indepth into each character. I personally didn't like that the book was abit too short for my taste. Maybe i am not a huge fan of action novels that could also be another factor making me give it this score. I would say 3 out of 4 stars rating for me personally.

Otherwise I recommend this book for those who are after action, crime investigations, thrilling suspense and mystery types of books based on the life of ex military servicemen.
This is a great short read for that long boring plane ride.
