Timewise by Robert Leet is a work of non-fiction that aims to enlighten or teach its readers some scientific phenomena using storytelling.

Ron was born an orphan. He never knew his parents. He has been staying in a foster home, and he loves playing chess. He would play chess with whoever he came across. One day, while playing chess in school, he met a girl, almost his age, who really impressed him when she played with him. Ron later discovered that her name was Regina, and she was not a fellow student; she was a teacher. However, Ron and Regina had grown fond of themselves. When Ron finished high school, he left town and took up gambling as a means to survive. He could not further his education due to a lack of funds. When Regina heard about this, she traveled down to see Ron, and the condition in which she met him made her take some drastic actions. What actions did Regina take?

Timewise by Robert Leet is a novel by someone I believe is a scientific genius. From this work of his, it is glaring how scientifically vast he is and how good a storyteller he is also. The story focused on several characters, but two characters stood out, Ron and Regina.

One thing I love about this book is the characters’ development. First of all, the characters were properly introduced; kudos to the author for that. Ron was a character that enjoyed playing games, especially chess. He seemed social and playful. Then, he developed into a character that would rather enjoy his company and just gamble. Regina was a character that only wanted to teach. She developed into a compassionate, very learned, passionate character. This aspect of this book was really commendable.

Also, I love how the author tried to relay scientific phenomena in a way everyone could relate to, especially readers that are not scientifically inclined. The most impressive part of this was the way quantum physics was explained. The explanation of quantum physics might be a complex thing to do, but the author explained it in the most explainable way ever.

However, I do have a dislike for this book. The book lacked action. A story like this would have been perfect if the author had tried to include some elements of action or suspense. For this reason, I would give this book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. The book was exceptionally edited because I found no errors. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy reading science fiction and people who intend to understand the concept of quantum physics.
