Liner, is a wonderfully written novel by Chris Coppel. We follow the life of a young man named David Easton, whose life, unfortunately, has taken the wrong turn. He ends up only finding one way out, and instantly starts to plan out his last days on earth, by booking a one-way ticket on a liner. However, David's intentions don’t go as planned, and within minutes, his life gets turned upside down…

When I finished this novel, I was so amazed. It gave me way more than I initially had expected, and I was shocked by how fast I finished it. It was so captivating, and I had a hard time putting it down, every time I picked it up, and without realizing it, I was already done within a few reads. I think what I enjoyed most about the book, was the amount of action, plot twists, and humor that were present. It was a perfect mix between these three, and it made the book so enjoyable to read. Besides the action, there is also a hint of romance. We follow a romantic relationship between David and a girl named Diana Olson. They each develop as humans, but we also see them develop together as a couple, which was also interesting to read.

I don’t have any negative thoughts to mention, however, if I should point something out, then I did find it ending pretty sudden. I didn’t expect it to end the way it did, and I don’t necessarily see it as a bad thing, but I am also not the biggest fan of how the author chose to do the ending.

As mentioned above, then, I truly enjoyed reading this novel, which is also why I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. It is exceptionally well-edited, as I didn’t find any major grammar or spelling errors. The author also described the situation very well and detailed, which also made it more interesting to read. The character development that is present in the book, especially occurring for David, was also fascinating to follow, which also made the book score higher in my opinion.

I recommend this book to people, who would like to pick up a captivating story filled with action, microbiology, mystery, and romance. It contains a small amount of profanity and talks about the topic of suicide and mental health issues. So, if you are sensitive to that, then I would recommend picking up another book.
