While defining culture, Paul R. Fournier in Anonymous Cultures, The Silent Majority spoke about its role in a company and its development. A lot of companies would save a huge amount of time if only they got their cultural values right and got them incorporated into their systems properly. Culture can be defined as the relationship and values that a particular company upholds or adheres to. It's like a status quo that is majorly unsaid but very highly upheld. Different companies or workplaces have different cultures.

Cultures in the book are divided into various sections. Cultural personalities in the workplace create differences. For example, those in the legal department of finance are logical thinkers go by the rules set. While salesmen are optimists. They don't play by the rules. Then there are rogue cultures and geographic and cultural personalities. He also spoke about effective leadership and management among other factors that culture influences in the workplace.

This book was very informative. I liked how the author emphasized the key factors and points in the book. It was also impressive how the author incorporated short stories at some points in the book. The stories made the points more applicable and seem realistic. They also killed the monotony in the book as they brought humour. That was very impressive. The author also used a simple and easy-to-understand language.

I did not have any negative thoughts about the book or the author. I found the book to be well-edited as I did not spot any grammatical errors in the book. There were also no spelling mistakes or editorial issues in the book. The book was written in a polite but serious tone, which was a plus for it as I thought it was very impressive.

I rate this book as 4 out of 4 because it was a good book. I learned a lot from reading it. It had questions and questioners at the end of every topic or chapter where the author was able to engage the reader and also ensured that a reader grasped as much as they could from the book. I would like to recommend this book to owners of businesses, especially companies and those in managerial positions. This is because I felt that the book was majorly addressed to them. A lot of the points in the book need to be implemented by someone who is in a position of power in an organisation or company.
