Insights For Coaching Leaders Beyond 2021 by Jill Flynn is a book with essential tips on helping coaches better assist their clients. From navigating new environments to helping reassess one's purpose within their organization, Flynn's book provides the necessary information for planning a logical path forward. In addition to this, the author offers insights from their personal experiences so that readers can develop a better understanding of the presented material.

The author starts things off by providing a glimpse into the world of coaching. From here Flynn explains the purpose of the profession along with the desired outcome for each coaching session. Later, she discusses what she observed over the years while working with a variety of business professionals.

One of the top talking points revolved around disruptors. Not just from everyday life, but from within each professional industry. The author highlighted some innovations that surfaced over the years along with how some in leadership positions struggled to adapt.

Embracing change is another key talking point that was touched on. The author highlighted the switch to remote work during the widespread lockdown period of the pandemic. Despite workers demonstrating they could work well remotely, many business leaders had difficulty accepting this new form of work.

For the most part, this book was an interesting read. The author does an amazing job with communicating complex topics by breaking them down into manageable sections. I also liked how she utilized real-world examples for furthering the discussion for each of her talking points.

That said, there were times when it felt like too much information was disclosed. While the author did break things down into digestible portions, it was still a lot of information to process. Insights For Coaching Leaders Beyond 2021 gets a 3 out of 4 because while it is a good book, it isn't perfect.

One of the top things that I disliked was how some of the sentences were structured. Some were straightforward and easy to read, while others required re-reading. Multiple breaks along with listing items off within the same sentence were difficult to read.

Outside of sentence structure, there were no misspellings present within the text. I would recommend this book to those looking to learn more about the day-to-day challenges of business coaches. However, I would not recommend this book to those looking for an in depth guide on business coaching.
