Jim Ryburn is an alcoholic Scientist on a space station in a high Venus Orbit—who works in the area of energy research. After many years of Jim's research not attaining any notable results; a caretaker team was sent to dismantle the space facility he operates.Nevertheless, Ryburn is determined to his salvage his reputation much to the decommissioning crews’ dismay as they believe them to be nothing but drunken delusions.

However, due to unforeseen circumstances a cargo— which was set to arrive at the station from Mercury, collides with the station shifting it from its axis and causing it to fall towards Venus. Seeds of distrust were sown as occupants began accusing each other. Each person fears the worst but is destined for an incredible adventure— despite the questions on everyone’s mind.

A positive aspect of Doyle’s Law by Sam Roberts is it's funny and likable characters. This keeps the readers interested, enaged and well entertained. This along with the author's writing style made the book easy to read and enjoyable as we are taken on the adventure alongside the characters of this incredible book.

A negative aspect about the book however is that in some instances a lot of description details are unnecessary. Causing the book to be lengther than needed and causing it to have a rather slow pace at the beginning.

I rate this book a 3 out of 4 stars this is because despite the flaws of the books it is still relatively entertaining and well-written. However, it's slow and uneventful beginning personally made the earlier reading experience a bit tedious.

I recommend this book to lovers of science fiction and space travel. As I think this book an amazing science fiction. Don’t let its slow pace at the beginning discourage you as I feel you will appreciate this book.
