Randy Love, master of manipulation, believes he can accomplish anything he sets his mind to. His quest for money and success leads him to London where he realizes that everything is not as simple as it seems.

Randy the irresistible by S M Goodier is about the youngest child of James and Marjorie Love. In the aftermath of Marjorie's death, John is happy with how his two elder children have fared. But he doesn’t fully trust his youngest, who is charming but not particularly hard working. His wayward son soon leaves for London in pursuit of success and personal growth. Through James, Randy’s elder brother, he meets a beautiful and successful woman named Nicky. When things turn out for the worse, Randy takes comfort from his girlfriend. Does Nicky have a chance of changing Randy's self-destructive course before it's too late? Is Randy Love, irresistible to the ladies and sometimes overconfident in his ability to get away from trouble, capable of changing in personality?

I really liked this book. My favorite aspect of the story was Randy himself. He never let anyone else’s opinion discourage him from achieving his goals. His easy charms helped him get into a lot of interesting dispositions. In addition, I liked the lighthearted tone of the book, which was quite humorous. I found Michael, a role model in Randy’s life, to be hilarious and their banter had me laughing. There are several instances in which Randy finds out that he is irresistible even to older ladies, which lands him in less than ideal situations. It is fascinating to watch him escape seemingly untouched. Randy is an unpredictable young man, so we never had a dull moment with him.

The only thing I dislike about the book is that there wasn't a clear plot. Nevertheless, it didn't really hinder my enjoyment. Randy and his easygoing personality had me hooked.

Overall, I absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t find anything huge that I didn’t like about it and hence ended up giving it 4 out 4 stars.

I would recommend it to young adults seeking success and happiness. This book is motivational and can inspire those who need a little push in pursuit of their dreams, in spite of what anyone else may say. There is a glossary at the end of British slang which makes it appropriate and accessible for non-British readers as well.
