[Following is a volunteer review of "The Maestro Monologue" by Rob White.]
The Maestro Monologue by Rob White is a book I consider timely and invaluable. The world, more than ever, is suspended in conflicts and controversies. We grow up with some unresolved personal crises. Some of these crises can cause a lifetime trauma if they are not resolved quickly and properly. They can lead us into negative and dangerous lifestyles. Fortunately, there is a book to help us out, The Maestro Monologue.
The Maestro Monologue reveals that the world appears to us the way it does because of the way we appear to ourselves. The way we appear to ourselves, most often, is influenced by our past experiences. If our past experiences were painful and frightening, a series of misunderstandings begin to pile up in our subconscious minds. White calls these series of misunderstandings the intruder. The intruder pretends to be our true personality. Hence, we begin to have defeatist mindsets. We begin to feel that we are not fortunate enough to actualize our dreams. The book, interestingly, reveals that we have the capacity to help ourselves out of every past ugly experiences we have had and build a bright future for ourselves. That capacity is called the Power of Intervention. We are taught that this power is innate. It is this power that leads us into what White calls the Ultimate Understanding. It is this power that empowers us to use the Marvelous Denials against the intruder. Then, we begin to realize that we are wonderfully made. We begin to realize that we deserve a happy life. Please, get a copy of this book to learn these secrets.
I love the word choice made in writing this book. They are intentional and potent. The book is written in an interactive manner. On several occasions, I felt the author was discussing the book with me directly. I am inspired by the quotes made in various sections of the book.
I have nothing to complain about the book. Vulgar words are not used in the book. I only noticed about two minor grammatical errors. I would say the book was well edited.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The content is great. The message is timely. I do not consider the two minor grammatical errors I noticed too bad to attract a deduction of one star from the rating.
I recommend this book to those who are struggling to heal their souls after some damaging experiences. Those who desire to live a purpose-driven life will also find this book helpful.
