Review of A Dream For Peace

[Following is a volunteer review of "A Dream For Peace" by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah.]
Following the imposition and brainwashing of French values on Algerian citizens by French nationals, A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is a memoir and coming-of-age account about Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's life, his challenges, and difficult journey from childhood to adulthood. He is often subjected to racial prejudice since he was a child because of his African Arab ethnicity.
After being offered a scholarship to further his medical studies in the US, he loses his mother and is frequently subjected to life-threatening attacks and is even imprisoned following his activism. This, however, does not deter him from continuing to fight for Algeria's independence, rising through the ranks and defying the difficulties piled against him. He must also choose between serving his fatherland and pursuing his own goal of brokering peace on African coasts and around the world, all while prioritizing his love life.
To begin with, and without a doubt, this book was amazing from beginning to end. This is due to its naturalness and simplicity. I enjoyed how the author organized his narration and the topics he discussed. I was particularly impressed by the author's commitment to African and global peace, despite his allegiance to another country. Despite his countless hardships, I respected his persistent faith in God. The author's pictorial references also provided me with something lovely to look at while I continued to toss the book pages and read.
To get to the fun part, I liked how the author presented his many diplomatic adventures, which offered the readers a lot of adventures to savour and remember for a long time. Most significantly, the book was extremely educational about various religious practices, and the author promoted peaceful cooperation among people of many faiths, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I particularly liked how President Houphouët portrayed himself as a father figure to the author. On every level, the book was instructive.
As a result, I would be inconsiderate if I gave this book anything less than 4 out of 4 stars. This is due to its well-organized and beautiful storytelling. I wish I could come up with a better word to describe how enjoyable it was to read the book since it was a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end, and I wished it would never end.
I would recommend this book to everyone who enjoys didactic writing; students, because it provides moral lessons to learn from, and politicians because it teaches them more about how to promote and encourage peaceful coexistence among people of all national and religious origins. There is no sexual content or profane language in the text, too.
