Review of Fast Starting a Career of Consequence: Workbook

[Following is a volunteer review of "Fast Starting a Career of Consequence: Workbook" by Fred Sievert.]
Fast Starting a Career of Consequence: Workbook is Fred Sievert’s third book. This workbook will help readers find success in a new or existing care. Through practical, Christ centred advice. It will help you discover your God-given talents and every chapter provides a specific prayer for each situation you may come across.
I liked that most of the advice was well balanced. It encouraged the reader to try new things and put themselves forward. It also made sure to give examples of how the tips could be misused or taken too far. This increase the reader's chance of success. I also thought that the Spiritual Gift test was a useful tool that you don’t often see in books like this.
The only piece of advice I didn’t think would be helpful in today’s world, was the advice to work overtime and do extra work. I understand the mindset behind this advice, but I don’t think it will be useful because employers nowadays expect everybody to do this and rarely show appreciation or give anything back to the employees.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I am giving it this rating because it is exceptionally well-edited and the content is good and because the book is exactly what it says it is.
I recommended this book to Christen people, who are feeling like they are stagnating in their current care. This could also be an interesting book for Bible study groups.
