Sarah the main character a teenager girl who's an orphan; with both parents dead and her stepfather moving to Europe she decided to go to her grandparents whom she has never met. but unwanted at her grandmother’s she is dropped at Tom, her grandfather’s place. When she arrives, she discovers that her grandfather is about to go on a trip into the Olympic Peninsula Wilderness with William his oldest friend, and William's daughter Myra. So, Tom is obliged to take Sarah in the adventure. Sarah was unhappy and believe that she was kidnaped rather than be in a family trip. During the hike Sarah get mad and find herself missing and traveling in time. When she returns, 7 days has passed, and nobody believe her stories no just what she saw but what she experienced with the natives; she gets back but like a different and strong person who is ready to fight for her believes. The trip is just the beginning of her journal.

What was good about Strong Heart? Well, this is a story about self-discovery and family values. I love to see how the relationship between Tom and Sarah progress; in the beginning they were just strangers and them they discover that they have more in common than blood. Sarah was intrigued and fascinated with her roots and wants to know more about Tom’s Grandfather. The friendship between William and Sarah gets my heart too; he was the person who always believe in Sarah, and he encourage her all the time to believe what she saw during her traveling to the past. Strong Heart is a exquisite book about the magic of the pacific northwest legends.

What was not good about the book? Strong Heart is a present-day story written in the third person and then is in the first person when Sarah is time traveling, that confused me a little bit and it took some time to understand it. Was like the transition between the stories were unclear but once I got it the book was enjoyable

I rate Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon 3 out of 4 stars because the ending wasn't what I was looking for. It's felt abrupt, I ended with more questions than I expected, I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be a cliffhanger but then I realize that is followed by another book so, I’m ready to get it

This book is recommended for people who enjoy Native American legends, outdoor adventure, and a little bit of mystery.
