Retired physician Morton E. Travel M.D shared his knowledge with us in Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks. This book is divided into three parts. Tips, the first and longest section covers a diverse range of topics. From effective ways to lose weight to the encouragement of taking care of our planet. Myths, the second section covers the common belief of people which Travel sees the need to clear up. Section three, Trick, then moved on to teach us some of the tricks to be mindful of by people trying to make money and, or fame in the name of health care. Each chapter is ended with a summarized conclusion.

Bing a someone who is and has been health conscious all my adult life, I gravity to such materials. After reading the very detailed table of contents, I was itching to soak up some new information. I was pleased to see the vast referral of different studies, books, and research. The great detail of the type of studies, the year of study, the different foundations that are associated with these studies and research. Where they were done, and most times by who. There were referrals to various books and their authors. This book was well researched especially the Tips section. Travel at times adds his opinions but is always clear when he did.

Although Travel and I don't see eye to eye with everything in this book, especially in the Myths section, I can't say there is anything that I dislike. I may be one of the people who made writing this part important. If there were as many references in this section as there were in the Tips section, I would maybe, be more compelled to rethink these things I believe in, which Travel sees as myths.

With that said, the overall book was educational and in-depth. The dialogue was clear and easy to understand, giving you the freedom to fully concentrate on the information. There are sightings of grammar and spelling errors. There are also formatting errors. These errors should not have been overlooked by the editor. This did not take away from the information provided by the book therefore, I will not hesitate in giving this book a 4 out of 4 stars.

This book is for anyone interested in being knowledgeable about health care. Whether you are in the field of medicine or you are interested in the health of your body. The contents are clean therefore a child with such interest can read it.
