Chris Coppel's Liner is an amazing book about a cruise on a luxury cruise liner named the Oceanis in 1962. The book follows several protagonists as they attempt to solve the unexplainable events aboard the liner. An important character in this book, David Easton, is introduced at the beginning of the novel. In an attempt to end his miserable life, he boarded the Oceanis after losing everything and everyone important to him. While aboard the ship, David's curiosity lands him in the infirmary where he witnesses an event that was both bizarre and shocking. In order to figure out why this happened, he decides to look into it. Throughout the novel, David attempts to uncover the mystery. As the narrative progresses, he meets a new character, Diana Olson, and they join forces to discover the truth about the ship's mysterious anomalies. As each chapter progresses, it becomes grimmer and grimmer.

In addition to being extremely well written, this book was also well edited. Neither were the chapters too lengthy nor too boring. They were eventful and action-packed. The originality of the storyline impressed me. Throughout the book, I was amazed by the author's creativity. This book had a very anti-climatic ending that quite surprised me. I appreciated how unpredictable it was, despite several clues provided by the author. There were also other themes besides mystery, such as romance. Diana and David's budding romance was delightful to read. In the midst of the grim conditions on the liner, their love story provided a sense of balance.

This book only had one thing that I didn't like about it: a sluggish start. However, it picked up as I continued to read the chapters. The beginning of the book was quite confusing, however, it did make sense at the end. The beginning of the book also contributed to the bizarre nature of the twist in the end.

I was unable to put this book down once I started reading it and it had an entirely new plot for me. The author's creativity impressed me in this book. A good mix of themes was found in this book, such as mystery, romance, and the paranormal. I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars as I thoroughly enjoyed it.

If you are looking for a book that has a well-developed plot, I would recommend this book. This book would also appeal to people who love mystery novels.
