Who Told You That You Were Naked? is a scriptural book written by William E. Combs. The author commenced by telling the story of "human creation", which originated from "Adam" and "Eve". The extent of God's love towards them, made him to bestow upon them "an enormous wisdom", which led to him handing over the Garden of Eden to their care. Furthermore, he instructed them not to eat fruits from a particular tree in the garden, in order to prevent the occurrence of awful consequences in their lives. However, Eve got carried away with the serpent's words, which resulted to her eating the fruit and giving to her husband to eat also. The consequences that emanated from the incidence, which had tremendous effects on the serpent, Adam, Eve and the whole human race, and what makes "Faith" the bedrock of Christianity were all mentioned and explained.

I enjoyed several aspects of this book. To me, it was more like a spiritual self-help one. The author did justice to the subject matter. He incorporated several scriptural quotations, Bible characters, and used his personal experiences to expatiate, which made the topic under consideration more comprehensible to me. The interpretations of different theologists as pertains the subject were highlighted in the write-up for better clarity. At some point in the book, the writer integrated poetic lines which increased my enjoyment of the book. This was possible because I'm an avid lover of poetic books. He also included several words to explain terms that relates to the subject. This made me learn new words which enhanced my vocabulary skill.

Another part of this book that greatly fascinated me, was when the author explained the institution of marriage, and the role of women in their family, from stories drawn from the subject. Despite the shortcomings of man, God still demonstrated genuine love, to the extent of sacrificing his blood on the cross for them. However, to sustain this fellowship with him, a newly converted believer has to practice three things which were all listed in this book. In addition, growing in Christ requires a deliberate walk with him, which will involve taking our cross and consistently following him.

I gave it a rating of four out of four stars, considering the fact that I didn't dislike any aspect. It was professionally edited with only few errors stumbled upon. Another reason that influenced my decision to give it this excellent rating is on the grounds that the book is soul-lifting.

I therefore recommend it to lovers of scriptural books, persons desiring to know what "Practical Faith" in christendom entail, persons eager to understand the circumstances surrounding the origin of sin, and persons inquisitive to know how to live for Christ, because this book's content will serve as the perfect one to grant their desires.
