[Following is a volunteer review of "Customer Service Is DEAD" by Mitche Graf.]
In a world where most business owners are obsessively after making the highest possible profit with the lowest possible capital, Mitche Graf draws our minds back to the most important aspect of doing business. He reminds us of the importance of a factor we seem to have long forgotten.
In Customer Service Is DEAD: Delivering 6-Star Service In A 1-Star World, Mitche Graf gave an insightful analysis of 21st-century businesses and the many mistakes they make regarding customer service. He emphasised the number one factor that guarantees the longevity of every business. He provided the reader with a step-by-step approach to running a business that thrives on customer service. Find out about these steps to thriving in the business world by reading this brilliant book.
The book has a lot of positive points. Firstly, I love the author's writing style. He was straightforward and practical with his approach to the topic. Books filled with a theoretical approach to issues bore me to death, and I am sure it is the same for most readers. This book is not one of those. The tips contained in this book are clear, concise and very practicable. Every business owner will find invaluable information in this book.
Also, I love how persuasive the author was in his writing. He wasn't merely suggesting steps to business owners; he gave them reasons to have a mindset shift from profit-making to customer satisfaction. In the book, he shared the 6-star service manifesto, the customer service checklist, amongst others. The intention is to motivate entrepreneurs to grow their businesses by given the customer an amazing customer experience.
He also shared intriguing stories of top tier businesses around the world and the steps that brought them to that level of success. There is nothing to not love about the book. The tips contained in the book set one business apart from the rest.
The book was professionally edited. I found a few errors in it, but that did not take anything away from my enjoyment of the book. Consequently, I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. I found nothing to dislike about the book.
I recommend this book to people who currently own a business or intend to own a business in the future. The tips contained in the book will set your business miles ahead of your competitors. Consumers of different products can also glean information on how to discover how customer-focused a business is before making the decision to either patronise or not patronise it.
