Diary of a Snoopy Cat is a children’s storybook written by R.F. Kristi. It is the fifth book in the “Inca Book Series.” Inca is a super-smart Siberian kitty. The story starts with Inca introducing her family; Cara, Fromage, Charlotte, Missy, and Aunt Florence. Cara, a Siamese kitty, is Inca’s sister, and Fromage is her brother named after French cheese. Charlotte is a small hamster and Missy is their humanoid mother. Inca fantasizes about becoming the world’s smartest cat detective. Together with her smart cat and dog friends, namely Monk, Terrance, and Polo, she solves different cases and mysteries.

The case she has taken this time is to find the will left by Mr. Finchley. Before his death, Mr. Finchley willed his house to Ned. But Cyril, Mr. Finchley’s nephew, claims it to be his house and has hidden the will. Will Inca be able to find the papers? If yes, how could she have found them? If you are curious to know, read the book to find out.

My favorite aspect of the book was its meaningful theme. Kristi has beautifully portrayed the friendship and loyalty among the animals and humans. The cats and dogs have referred their owners as mom or dad, which overwhelmed me with love and happiness. The cute and funny illustrations by Jorge Valle made my reading experience more pleasant.

The story is narrated by Inca and from his perspective. I adored the witty characters by Kristi. The story also delivers moral messages about greed, bullying, and cleanliness. Kids can learn about other countries and cultures from this book, as the author has mentioned about countries like Nepal and France. The book’s excellent plot, characters, themes, illustrations, font style and size make it a delightful read for kids. As a result, I am glad to rate this storybook four out of four stars.

There was nothing to dislike in the book. The book is exceptionally well-edited, as I could not spot any errors in it. Lastly, I would recommend this book to children of age 5 to 12 years. Animal lovers will find this book delightful. Parents can also read this book to their children as a bedtime story.

This seems like a nice book for children to learn about friendship, dealing with pets, and some other lessons while having fun, so it can be useful for parents who like to read to their children and teachers. Thank you for your great review!

I am going against the popular saying of not judging a book by its cover. I am firstly fascinated by the cover page of this book and the fantasy of Inca becoming the smartest detective cat as an indication that ths book will be interesting. Thanks for your amazing review.
