This is a fantastic and informative review. However, it is unlikely for me to pick up short stories or novellas.

I'd like to read this book. I'm interested in this subject, and also, this certain roughness you mentioned seems intriguing. Thanks for an insightful review.

This sounds like it discusses many great topics. It's too bad that the quality of the stories varies so much. I don't think this is for me. Thanks, though.

I think this is the case with a considerable number of books, but this variation in quality is still most visible in story collections, because their parts are clearly separated.

Thank you so much for the detailed review! Based on your descriptions, I kind of want to read this book despite I'm not a fan of this type of novel that are a collection of stories, but you've made it sound truly fascinating.

It seems like the overall impression if that it was a good book, that deserves a chance. I like collections of stories because you can have more than one favorite story :). Thank you for your compelling review!
