Alizé, an ordinary teenager, gets her life turned upside down after she starts experiencing nightmares, seeing visions of the future, the past, and the spirit of her dead mother. She now has to embark on a journey to know what is happening to her- that way, Alizé could save herself and her family. Will she accept and come to terms with what she finds, or will she be too stubborn to embrace it? I like Like My Mother Before Me by Naley Gonzalez.

I enjoyed how realistic the supernatural part wasn't overdone, which might have turned it into a horror book, and it wasn't too short. It was just perfect. The character development is also exceptional, and I love how the author helps you understand the situation from the character's perspective, and that way, you can relate to them more.

The only thing I disliked was the unexplainable change of a character's behavior. Furthermore, how the characters come to evolve is not given enough airtime. The character's evolution raised a lot of questions and created a loophole.

Like My Mother Before Me has a few minor errors. However, it does not interfere with the book, which means that it's professionally edited. It also has mild sexual content. I rate Like My Mother Before Me 3 out of 4 due to the loophole. Also, because I enjoyed reading and it's skillfully edited,

I highly recommend Like My Mother Before Me to teenagers, especially for those who love supernatural stories. It's written in a way that can easily capture the teenagers' attention.
