[Following is a volunteer review of "Create the Life You Want" by Raymond P. Gerson.]
We are all put on this planet for a reason and the book Create the Life You Want is a terrific tool for helping seek out what that particular direction could be. This book will provide self help direction to motivate the reader to go after the dream of happiness that we all deserve in our lifetime.
I enjoyed how the author Raymond Gerson guides the reader thru self exploration. He has a true passion for wanting to help others achieve their greatest potential. The inner reflection questions he provides are starting points for what the reader may be seeking to find. His perseverance and ability to find humor in what most would say is a bad situation, will have you laughing out loud as well as a change of perspective. His positive mind set and leading by example attitude, gives insight and hope that change for the better is possible when changes start from within. The supportive words and examples of successful stories are inspiring from all walks of life. There is also awareness gained to learn to listen to our peers for additional support. Is there a task that you are better at than your friends and they tell you all the time? Is it an activity that brings you joy? This will aid in seeing the direction to start towards living the life you have dreamt about.
The four common Life areas he educates about are Careers, Purposes, Relationships and Contributions. The exercises and stories related to each category are well laid out. His shared personal triumphs and fails connect to any age reader. I highly recommend for high school age for additional career path guidance. Learning how to initiate ones self confidence and educating yourself in what you are passionate about will lead anyone in a forward progression towards new personal goals.
The book has been revised from the past and contains no grammatical errors. The chapters flow fluently together from start to finish. Very well written and edited. The inner reflection questions and exercises at the end of each chapter help the reader find positive directions for creating a happier and more fulfilling life. The cover was attractive as well for jumpstarting the readers curiosity and creativity. I was drawn to the purple and artistic paint brush along with the title was what first caught my attention.
I was happy to find this and I rate this book four out of four stars for anyone wanting to improve and create a more enriching life for themselves. It has been a positive influence for helping me set my own personal career for a new career path as well as relationship goals.
