[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: Someone Else's End" by Matthew Tysz.]
Virko has been invaded by a legion of demons, and Galen and his friends, Rowan and Demetrius, felt they were responsible for this act. The sad state of Demetrius made Galen suggest a visit to Soulhire to gain an audience with the King, thereby bringing help to Virko.
This visit, however, came in handy with a case, Shore against Soulhire. This case saw Soulhire's humanitarians, led by Miss Shore, stand in advocacy for foreign refugees from neighboring countries and Voulhire's moral obligation to accept them. These refugees have suffered greatly in the hands of their emperor, the Emperor of Lullabies, who deals with them as he pleases.
The emperor is angry at Voulhire for wanting to interfere with his people. Riva Rohavi has risen against Voulhire. Will Voulhire share the same fate as the Lands of the Princes?
We are Voulhire: Someone Else's End by Matthew Tysz is the third installment in the "We are Voulhire series." The book is an action-filled book with an amazing plot that revolves around betrayal, trust, and magic.
There were numerous things I liked about this book. I liked the character of Galen. At every point, he always wanted to know how his friends would feel at any decision he took. This keeps him in check and prevents him from making selfish decisions.
In addition, I was impressed that Galen and his friends, Rowan and Demetrius, are getting along well, and their friendship has grown better than it was in the previous series. This gladdened me.
Also, I was fascinated by the author's writing style and descriptive skills. I was able to visualize buildings, sculptures, and interior decoration of buildings while reading. I was greatly intrigued by this.
My favorite part of this book was when Meldorath intervened during the attack on Soulhire by the Emperor of Lullabies. His display of power was amazing, and I got to learn more about his powers alongside the damages he can do with them. I was greatly entertained by this.
There was only one thing which I found disturbing about this book. Matthew used numerous vulgar words in this book which, in a way, made me uncomfortable while reading this book, and this is what I disliked most about this book.
However, the amazing plot and several actions that took place in this book made up for this. We are Voulhire: Someone Else's End was professionally edited, as I couldn't find any errors. So, I have no reason to deduct a star. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this amazing book to lovers of fantasies, those who enjoy reading books about magic, and adults.
