[Following is a volunteer review of "How to Generate and Earn Royalty Income" by Marina Peters.]
Have you ever wondered how musicians and authors make their money? Are you interested in a career path that does not follow the 9-5 model but still want to make an income? Are you just curious about how royalties work because you have been hearing about them your whole adult life? Learn about and understand all this and more in a little over 100 pages.
Cheesy introduction aside, I thought this book was very informative. It was short and easy to read, but it contained a lot of valuable information. I have noticed that a lot of the time when people are discussing finance, there is a sense of entitlement in the way they speak. People make it seem like only a certain group of people should understand how to make money. Peters does jot do this. She writes in a way that is easy to follow.
I rate How to Generate and Earn Royalty Income by Marina Peters 3 out of 4 stars . The only reason I am giving it 3 stars instead of 4 is because there were several grammar mistakes, especially toward the end. The content itself deserves 4 stars. The author did a great job of explaining things in a way that anyone can understand. She gave definitions for any word related to the topic. I knew almost nothing about how royalties worked before reading this book, and I now have a much better understanding.
Overall, this book is a great place to begin if you are looking to really understand royalties. It is pretty short, so not every sing thing is covered, but it lays the groundwork nicely. Royalties are in important part of a lot of different industries. As I was reading, I was thinking of the different ways that I consume media and who my money is most likely going to.
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in creating an income based on royalties. Many people are making money online these days and this book gives several examples of ways you can do that. YouTube is a very common endeavor for people these days and this book gives tips on how to make it big on there. This book is also great for people interested in a career in business. It talks about several different industries that use royalties. This could be helpful for those looking to be a part of those industries.
