Can you imagine having dreams of your lost loved ones, communicating with them, and being strengthened by them?
In The Dream Keepers by Linda Keen, Star is a very special and smart girl with a wild imagination at a very young age. The story centers on two siblings, Thatcher and Star who lost their parents at very very young ages. They lived peacefully and happily with their maternal grandparents on the West coast of America but due to health conditions, were moved to the South coast to stay with their paternal grandparents who were well-to-do and somewhat sophisticated. Star in the earlier stage of her life was heartbroken twice when her best friend and lover moved far away. She keeps on having both weird and normal dreams. Thatcher, on the other hand, had to deal with some issues mentally with his relationships but eventually came out stronger.
The story focused on friendship, love, family, forgiveness, survival, and a bit of history.

I really liked the style of writing and the choice of words used. The author, Linda Keen described in detail the dreams of the children and their life journey especially when they ran away from their Southern home. She made the characters come alive and I felt emotional at some parts of the book. I liked how the love story in the book wasn't so typical.

However, there were some plot holes that left me confused. There were very few grammatical errors though.

I will rate this book 3 out of 4 because of the reasons above. Even with the minor issues, it was a pleasant and amazing book to read.

I would recommend this for readers who love adventures and those who generally love reading.
