[Following is a volunteer review of "The Champagne Tales" by Michael Amon.]
The book The Champagne Tales written by Michael Amon is a well written collection of short stories related to Champagne. Every single story has a unique plot twist and leaves you thinking about it for a long time, even after reading it.
I think that this is an excellent book for Champagne lovers, especially those that have a story of their own behind their love for Champagne, just like those that they can read about in this book.
Personally I don't drink Champagne but I still managed to put myself in the shoes of the people in these stories. All of the stories in this book kept me at the edge of my seat. I wanted to discover the secret treasure in each story just like the four generations searched for their own family treasure in the story of The Treasure of House LeClerc.
I would recommend this book to absolutely any person that loves an adventure with a twist, the fact that all of these stories are related to Champagne is just a bonus for Champagne lovers.
One thing that I loved the most about this book is that every story has an interesting plot-twist that it is leading up to which makes you want to continue reading the rest of the stories and every story keeps you wondering about how it could possibly end, which keeps it interesting.
Something that I disliked the most about this book was the fact that some of the stories were left as a cliff hanger, personally I prefer stories with a solid ending. I would have loved to know more about what happened to Sherry and how she was actually connected to the stars in her story in Reach for the Stars.
I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. Not a 4 because of the amount of swear words being used in the book but also not a 2 because overall this is a well written and well edited book. I would love to see a second series of each story.
