Real Secrets of Life! Divine Guidance and Spiritual Techniques for the Next Century, is a spiritual self-help book by Krishna Jagernath, which consists of 9 chapters and 149 pages.

Krishna states that our purpose here on earth is to realise that our true selves are divine beings. He teaches that by gradually making all of our actions in alignment with Gods will, we can become free of our karma and end our cycle of reincarnation. We must learn to listen to our intuition and live with respect for others by seeing the divine in everyone and everything.

I especially appreciated the summary at the end of each chapter. Jagarnath writes that love as thought is truth, love as action is right conduct, love as feeling is peace and love as understanding is non-violence. Love underlies everything and during our journey, we will be guided to our life purpose and to help others to do the same.

The author speaks about the benefits of following the principles of Ayurveda, such as tongue scraping, not drinking with meals, avoiding wheat, tomatoes, potatoes, salads and many other things. Observing feng shui techniques is also advised, as well as regularly practising the hridaya mudra, which is a specific positioning of the fingers. Palmistry is also discussed, as well as being positive yet detached from results.

Krishna says that we should all have a living spiritual teacher but that we do not need to find our teacher because they will appear when we are ready to learn. He writes that all the gurus are one and also that nothing happens by chance. We are shown a map of consciousness and it is explained that we must move upwards by following the wide range of techniques described.

God is explained as simply being the energy that everything consists of. Our thoughts are also energy, which are constantly creating our reality. Every religions gods are simply one and the same god as messengers of the one true spiritual truth of love and unity for all.

Included is a peace pledge for the reader to sign at the end of the book. Unfortunately I feel that most people would find it quite difficult to follow many of the guidelines throughout the book. I also found a large amount of grammatical errors. I am rating Real Secrets of Life! Divine Guidance and Spiritual Techniques for the Next Century, 3 out of 4.

This sounds like a nice guide for those seeking spiritual growth. Thanks for the review.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen
