[Following is a volunteer review of "The Mindset" by Ace Bowers.]
The Mindset by Ace Bowers is a non-fiction book focusing on the journey of the author from a janitor to silicon valley millionaire in five years. This book shows the magic of will-power, motivation, and hard work. With a simple language and narration, this book can become an inspiration for everyone. It connected with me in the first instance, and I never felt to put this book down.
Unlike others, the author was forced to let go of his childhood due to a brutal storm created by his parent's fighting. The author is a third child in his family, followed by his big brother and big sister. He was ashamed of his poverty and hence, always hide it from others. He would not get the things other children had. His brother was always in jail, so all the money earned by his parents went for bail's, courts, etc. After entering adulthood, the author ruined his life by adopting bad habits and buried many of his childhood memories. Failure and instability were always around him. Here the author narrates his ups and downs and how he became motivated to never give up on his life. Yuka, his wife, Noah, his son, and Ariel, his daughter, are a constant motivation in his life. Although the author didn't inherit wealth and didn't invent anything, he possessed motivation and a determination to break his cycle of poverty that lead him to become a millionaire at the age of 28 years. How the author become a millionaire in 5 years? How the author overcome his mindset? And many inspiring events are awaiting you in The Mindset by Ace Bowers.
The author has not only focused on his life events but also on his family and friends who helped him in the time of needs. His motivation would fuel his determination and create a strong mindset within him. The author refers to it as an overcomer's mindset. The author's story of motivation has become my inspiration. He states that: Nothing is a waste of time if you learn something from it. Although it's a short memoir, there's a lot the author wants to tell about his life. This memoir is a journey of Ace Bowers towards financial success.
My favorite part of this book is the characters. They are well-developed, and I felt connected with them. There was nothing in this book that I disliked. It's a quick read. I found no grammatical errors. There is no instance of profane language. It is professionally well-edited and exceptionally flawless. Considering all the above points, I award this book with 4 out of 4 stars.
I recommend this book to those interested in memoirs and quick read. Readers age 14 years and above will enjoy this book. Do read this book to encounter inspiring moments of the author's life and find motivation.
