One Way or Another by Mary J. Williams is the first of THE SISTERS QUARTET series. A stand-alone book of the series, filled with coeval romance and family life. The story ponders around the four Benedict sisters, from a wealthy and renounced family. Calder along with her three other sisters was individually successful and focused on their careers, despite their wealthy inheritance. The love and loyalty amidst the sisters know no bond. They compliment one and another with their various uniqueness and strengths. The benedict sister are best when they are together and can crush any obstacle when united. This entertaining and dramatic book with 328 pages and 29 chapters, is filled with moments that make readers imagine each page like scenes in a movie.

Calder runs a successful non-profit charity organization in New York City, which she set up from the scratch out of struggles and different oppositions. The benedict sisters Andi, Calder, Bryce, and Destry have two common setbacks, despite their inherited wealth and successful careers. Firstly is being born of a careless and lustful mother, Billie Benedict. Her greatest concern is herself, I was amazed to know the four ladies were born of different fathers. Her relationship encountered different complications that lead to her present predicament, thanks to Mrs. Finch the housekeeper and the only mother figure there for the ladies from childhood. Billie’s relationship history is the cause of the sister's second setback. None of the ladies could boast of a successful relationship. They share their mother's flawed experience as a defense against loving and trusting a partner.

I like the Calder and Adam's adventurous meeting. Adam Stone, unlike the benedict, was decently raised by a loving single mother. He had to build everything he possesses by himself without any historical family wealth or name attached to it. The tales of this story evolves around Calder and Adam's romance adventure. Adam had to struggle to break through the Calder's mindset and believe about men to completely win her heart. The two despite being seriously in love, at first sight, prejudged one another. This will make their meetings eventful as they uncloud their journey to their happy ever after.

There is nothing I dislike about this book. The author did a great job of not limiting the story to the two love birds. The story extends to the sisters, their relationship with one another and how they handle their common setback. Their mother on the other end was not repentant and still continues with her notorious and promiscuous lifestyle. Her relationship with Ingo Hunter, known for hitting out on wealthy women is going to lead to a shocking news that will create unrest for the Benedict sisters.

I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars. The characters are well developed, and the book is well written with little typographical error. I recommend this book to anyone interested in relationships and romance stories. It is also a family book where one can learn how families should support and be there for one another.
