[Following is a volunteer review of "Do I Need a Will or a Trust" by Taylor Willingham.]
Very clear and simply written that even I understood. I loved how the author wrote in the beginning " take an axe to the idea wills & trusts are similiar ". I was one of the people who needed the axe.
I read the book because I could not decide whether to put life insurance in to a trust for adult children or simply leave it written in instruction in a will. I had some other queries due to a recent illness and family/ friends also had some queries. The book then got well travelled as I shared it electronically.
I recommend reading all the anology's and one of them will apply to you. One of the first analogys in the book was discussed at length as a debate amidst us all because we were all advised differently.
Taylor has a way of saying 'bare with me'and do, because the further you read in to the book the more understanding you have.
I would give this full stars. For the the information included. Also for the simplicity,as I am not very technology minded or one for legal terms that I then have to Google. I was in great anticipation choosing the book thinking it will be legal complex terms and I would be non the wiser. This is not the case in any way shape or form.
I recommend half way through the book to look at your notes ( I surprised myself with how many I had made and actually i felt impressed I had taught myself several helpful terms and the knowledge behind the terms, or rather Taylor had taught me this !)
The book certainly cleared up some misguided advise I had been given and I would now look out for further books by this author.
