Who Told You That You Were Naked? A mind reconstructing and re-examining of the story of the Garden of Eden from the beginning of the creation of mankind. How sin came into this world through Eve yielding to the advice of the serpent to eat of the forbidden fruit of Good and Evil, then giving Adam also. The author of this novel is Pastor Bill Combs, a retired Presbyterian minister and a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary giving a better picture of the story of Garden of Eden using the New Testament doctrines.
The book begins with the introduction and creation of mankind and giving a quick overview of the story of the Garden of Eden and how eve was formed from Adam's rib. According to the author, he explained the whole wrong perception of the concept of their nakedness and gave a better light to the understanding of the curse God laid upon Adam and Eve which was meant for their beautification and survival on earth. This explains that the nakedness of mankind isn’t important but the person’s thoughtfulness of the nakedness.
The book was highly inspirational and educational. There are quite a number of outraging fact I learned from this book, I admired the part where the author related the suffering of mankind to show a true sense of accomplishment and that child’s labor provides women a virtue of self-respect, therefore, grows a closer bond between the man and the woman and backing his point up with biblical references. Also, I acknowledge the fact Pastor Combs shared his real-life personal testimony it gave it a brighter view of all he was preaching in the book. I could relate with the sentiments of nakedness depicted in his book in our current world and this nakedness can be of any form in accordance with anything that draws us away from God.
In conclusion, I would rate this awesome book: Who Told You That You Are Naked? 4 out of 4 stars. Man always inclines to sin and the only way out is by surrounding and having in Jesus. The book was well structured and organized without coming across any typographical errors. I will be ever reading to recommend this book to every Christian having the wrong conception of sin and to every ever-ready person having an open heart to change their whole perception of sin.
