I think this book illustrates quite well the disconnect between teachers and their poorly performing pupils. In my opinion, rarely do teachers address the problem of poor performance in schools. Nice review.

I love that line about being "slave labor for the kids in other rooms". I think that very often our school system gives up on certain kids, and relegates them to the fringes for as long as they have to keep them there. I think it is great that the author here is making that visible and challenging it.
