Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks is intuitive and to the point in its structure, as the book itself is divided into these three simple categories: Tips Dr. Morton E Tavel offers to his readers; popular medicine myths, their origin and veracity -or rather, lack thereof- and warning against tricks which exist solely to take peoples' hard-earned money in exchange for useless, and sometimes even dangerous, products.

Morton E Tavel is a physician and cardiologist who holds a position as a clinical professor at Indiana University School of Medicine. He offers ample credentials and establishes himself early on as a reliable source of information.

Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks is an interesting read for anyone curious about medicine in general and hoaxes in particular. The tips Dr. Morton offers through the book's first section are insightful and trustable: sound medical advice which encourages the audience to enjoy healthier lives without spending money on unnecessary items or falling victim of scams.

A good portion of the book is dedicated to the issue of obesity and the effective, time-proven ways one could solve this issue. He is not inventing the wheel, to be perfectly honest, as these are tips most of us have heard of before, but it's always beneficial when these devices are reinforced by a health professional.

Dr. Morton focuses extensively on different kind of foods, products, and everyday habits, deconstructing them and explaining each one to the reader in a simple, no-nonsense manner, which seems to resonate well with its core audience. I don't imagine children or adolescents would be too interested in this particular book, but adults who want to distinguish what may be helpful for their health and daily life routines from those activities which might prove to be harmful in the long run would find this an interesting, insightful read. It is also an interesting read for all those who, like me, are fascinated by medical tricks and scams

Through his work, Dr. Morton also takes the time to explain issues such as gluten-free diets, bottled water, probiotics and raw milk, among many others products and practices those interested in wellness could easily be intrigued by.

Overall, I would greatly recommend this book, as it entertained and informed me alike. I rate Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks 4 out of 4 stars, as I noticed no glaring grammatical errors while reading it. This novel seems to have been edited professionally, and its contents remained fascinating through the entirety of its 300 pages. A highly recommendable book all around!

You wrote a really informative review. I liked that you were specific as to what would attract each kind of reader. There were some long sentences and some grammar errors, but nice job. I use a grammar checker and it helps along with reading the review out loud. I think I'll enjoy reading this book!

It's nice to nice to hear from an actual doctor what he thinks of some of the health crazes now because I have a few I've wondered about. Good informative review. I'll be checking this book out more.
