Harsh, but true. And I agree - this is a book that stays with you. I enjoyed reading your thoughts on it, thanks.

This book sounds really interesting, especially the dysfunctional family dynamics. Excellent analysis and review.

Nicely written review. I liked your opening paragraph and the fact that the book had such an impact on you. I hope the author can sort out the errors you mentioned. Well done!

I love scenes of heated tension that does not cease especially at the beginning of a story. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for the review. It definitely makes me want to read this book despite the minor errors. I don't usually read books like Ironbark Hill, but I quite like the plot and how it was written by the author (with the changing moods for the different seasons and all).

What a captivating review! I started reading the book, but housework got in the way, haha.

Your comment about the seasons is marvelous. I believe the "seasoning" was intentional; otherwise, the writer has a fairy godmother!

I must read this book.

Thank you for the review. I wonder to what degree did Natalie's love affair affect her and the choices she eventually made. Did it help her deal with her family circumstances or was it only the source of more difficulties?

Domestic abuse in households is well described in this book. I think it focuses on a rather trending issue in most societies of today's growing world where women are majorly subjected to abuse by their spouses.
When it comes to directing the world to work with you, age doesn't matter, race doesn't matter, origin doesn't matter.

Domestic, emotional and physical abuse in the home is a very sensitive topic. For some reasons, the cycle keeps repeating itself until someone brave enough like Natalie in this story can break the cycle. This book is surely going to be thought provoking. thanks or the review

Thanks for the great review. Natalie's sixteenth birthday comes out rather as a way for her improvement. She decides to take care of her physical appearance, she is in deed a woman of steel as she decides to let go of her self neglect.

This book shows the effects of drug addiction and alcoholism in this era. The book is worth reading. You did a good job in that review.
