I am really curious how the author managed to make a war story come off as feel - good. While I'm not a fan of war stories, they tend to be too bleak for my taste, this book sounds unlike any war story I've heard about. Good storyline and character development are definitely a plus. Thanks for the great review.

This story seems to break away from the stereotype of war-based books, I'm really intrigued to find out how the relationship between Fred and the bear develops, and in what ways Fred matures in the story. Thank you for this review with just the right amount of information to leave the reader wanting to know more about this story.

This book made me realuze that wars do not all result to chaos, some may lead to a new beginnings.

The style of nighttime stories told by our elders sounds really cosy, makes me want to read this. I have been looking for a book that deals with loss and pain so well, as you have described it.
I have never read any books on wars, but your review has me intrigued.

Thank you for the amazing review. Not my kind of book to read but this makes an exception. I’ll love to read about The bear and Fred.

This book sounds like it has a touch of fantasy in it with the magic powers of the bronze bear. I look forward to reading it. Great review!

I like the way the author portrays Fred as a child and later as an adult having experienced war. This allows readers to detect the changes in his personality. You did a good job of highlighting the author's ability to tell a compelling story. Thanks for this fascinating recommendation!

It's nice for someone to do something for friendship. Greenberg is an enchanting story about a guy named Fred and his Journey through life with the help of a good luck charm; Bear. It tells a story of war, survival, trust, friendship, loss and Fred’s transition into social life after war.

Thank you for the interesting review. I did enjoy reading the sample of it, though from it I didn't realize this was a book on war. From the sample and your review though, I will add this book to my list of books to read.

I love a good war story, and the fact that this one reads like a nighttime story told by a grandpa makes it particularly attractive for me.

A novel that follows the story of Fred as he navigates his social life after the war. I wonder how his good luck charm will be significant in his life. Congrats on botd!

The Bronze Bear by Jerry A. Greenberg seems to a great story of a journey through life. The character of Fred sounds interesting. I wondered what the title could mean before reading the review. And the bronze bear being a lucky charm intrigued me. Looking forward to reading it. Congrats on BOTD!
