Not all observations you've mentioned were glaringly wrong, but I'd understand if there were more and enough of them to distract you. I am also one with you in hoping that the author should have had better editing at his side on this piece enough to meet your standards. Thank you for your honest review.
Thank you for your time and comment! I apologize that it has taken so long to respond, I haven't been feeling well. I will of course return the favor like I always do.
Yes, there were many more errors and I can't begin to tell you how confusing the first 200 pages were- tons of characters, worlds, time periods and flipping back and forth - sometimes twice on one page. But, the last 100+ pages were good, so I know the author (and this book) has a lot of potential. Shame about the errors though- you think the author would have taken the time to read it once through since he had stated it took 21 years to write!

This sounds like a pretty epic fantasy novel considering how long the author worked on the world building! It’s too bad there were so many errors! Maybe with a bit of editing, there is something great in there!
I was born with a reading list I will never finish.

No worries at all. Let the errors be for now and focus on recuperating fully first. That's what I think a mum would normally say. Be well and enjoy your weekend! Thank you, too.

Thank you for your comment (I will return the favor)! Yes it really would have been a lot better if the author had worked a little more on the editing. Even reading it once at the end of the 21 YEARS he took to write it. Just was too confusing as well.

It sounds like the book does have some good elements, such as different worlds, characters, and powers, but it needs a good editor to straighten out the timeline and the grammar.

The plot sounds interesting, but all that jumping back and forth between worlds and time might have overdone the action in the story. Thanks for the review!

Awesome review. The storyline is quite interesting but it portrays aspects of life that I wouldn't want to delve into. And sorry about the errors and the confusion in the first 200 pages. You did a great job in your review.

Thank you for your comment! I will of course return the favor. Out of curiosity I looked at a couple reviews of this book after I had finished mine and I wasn't the only one lost and confused. I didn't think it would be just me, just had to check though. The ending was great though maybe the last 120 pages.
Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Thank you for your comment! I will of course return the favor. Yes was too confusing for me, not for the author since it took 21 years to write. I didn't want to take a year writing an outline to make sense of it. Out of curiosity I looked at couple other reviews after doing mine, and they mentioned the confusion as well.

Thank you so much for the comment but also the compliment. I will of course return the favor. :D I read other people's reviews and always enjoy reading them as they are entertaining, but feel mine are more "stating the facts" and boring. I appreciate that, it was really hard to review the book due to the jumping around as I didn't want to do the same in the review.

The main character, Damon is one you will love to hate, or hate to love. He plays one of those roles where you know that they are doing wrong, but you still kind of like them. Damon has a Master Plan, which you will hear about throughout the book, but there is no hint to what it is until the end, where it is revealed. Damon isn’t the only character that you may have conflicting feelings about. You may ask yourself, is this one a hero, a villain, or something in between?
I love this kind of characters! The fact that they're not entirely heroes or villains makes them much more relatable and I think it takes talent from the author to make a reader root for a flawed character.
Its a shame the book has so many flaws but, hopefully, with some major editing, it can work out.
Thank you!

I love intricate fantasy plots with complex characters, so I would like to give this book a chance despite the poor editing and confusing storytelling. It sounds like the sort of read that requires copious note-taking, which could definitely put some people off, but I'm used to it anyway since I have to do it for the novels I review. Thanks for the review!

Fantasy, magic and mages are my things. But it seems like the negative aspect outweighs the good part of the book. Really wish it was edited thoroughly. Nice review.

It is such a shame that you did not enjoy the book as much as you had hoped! 21 years is a LONG time to write a book, so I can see why one would expect the editing to be better. Congrats on your great review!
