It can be done. It depends on the skill of the writer. CIty of Angels and the movie Ghost are good examples.

I find it really strange to have that type of relationship with a ghost but as I read along I realized the bigger picture of the story and tried to see it from a different perspective.

It's definitely a unique idea, but I struggled to get used to it as I think it does just sounds a little bit realistic.

I don't think I can ever make sense of it. Reason being that one cannot be so sure the ghost question is not a fake...spirits have great ability to disguise.
