My favorite character was Sheila. Being a psychic, she has to face things from another realm in addition to the one she lives in. She has the strength of character to face the naysayers on this plane and the courage to confront negative energy on both planes. She has learned to live with her ability and still live a normal life. That takes courage and fortitude.
I loved her attitude and personality.

Dr. Darcy, I don't know what it was about him but he was breath taking. I loved him even more when he turned his back on his family when he found the woman that he loved and helped her little sister to bed married to avoid a sandul. So, even the misleading of men could change their outlook in life. I know, a fantasy to think but hopeful many more men could be like him.

My favorite was Charlie, as others have said, because of her strength.

I guess the encouragement would go to Charlie for her courage and perseverance despite the circumstances that she faced
