My go to genre is mystery/suspense. I've started visiting my local library and when I'm not looking for a certain book, I'm usually happy with any book from the mystery genre.

Thrillers are my go to, followed by horror. I go through phases where I am stuck in another genre, but I always end up going back to those two.

I love a good mystery or thriller! I actually just read Amy Schumer's book and I'm getting the itch for more biography/memoir.

I go for a feel good romance. In particular, something I don't have to think about and that leaves me in a better mood at the end.

I love a good horror story! After that, probably fantasy. For some reason, I really enjoy reading horror stories at night.. It does give me the creeps sometimes. Occasionally, I do read other genres, perhaps romance or historical fiction?

Csm wrote:Non-fiction. I'm a student of life and love learning. I'm publishing my first book next month, so I'm reading books on editing, marketing through social media, Stephen King's On Writing. I'm also a sucker for anything on leadership, spirituality, or the human potential movement.
I also am a lover of learning, therefore, non-fiction is my go-to genre! Congrats on your first book! Looking forward to hearing more about it!:-)

My go-to is nonfiction, especially history. In terms of fiction, though, I'd have to say fantasy. I'm a Harry Potter nerd, among others. :)

It's either YA fantasy (mostly the books I still have from my childhood) or romance (usually fantasy or historical). I try to read as much scifi/fantasy as I can but if I can't spend the time to concentrate on the book alone I end up putting it down for something easier. (I tend to read a lot at work and need to be able to split my focus just in case I'm needed somewhere)

There aren't many genres I don't at least take an occasional run at, but my current favorites are urban fantasy and alternate history. Combine the two? I'm lost!
