About Me

Post by koalafiedbookworm »

Hello! I'm newcomer to any kind of forum but I thought where better to start than a forum for book discussions.

I have been known to branch into pretty much every genre but I prefer to stick with fiction, historical fiction, fantasy, romance, paranormal, contemporary, and young adult. I've read a good amount of horror, mystery, suspense, and thriller novels too but most of the time those are sub-genres to the ones I mentioned above. I also enjoy graphic novels - especially if it's also novel or series like Maximum Ride by James Patterson - one of my favorites!

My favorite book discovery for this year is Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik, and probably one of my favorite books of all time! This book lead me to more books written more recently in the fairy tale genre like The Bear and the Nightingale by Kristen Arden.

As much as I love to read books in either a physical book (like paperback or hardcover) or electronic format (like my kindle), I also have a strong love for Audible. I will admit I listen to a majority of books in this format. Some of my favorite narrators are Tavia Gilbert, Robert Petkoff, and Kirsten Potter... just to name a few because honestly there are so many great narrators.

Anyway, I think this is a long enough introduction about myself and can't wait to dig into more discussions about books. Happy reading or listening!
