I am a retired hardorck miner by profession. I enjoy non fiction exclusively including American and world history, railroad books, biographies about railroad barons and their railroads, all books about civil engineering and designing infrastructure including work done in the past for pipelines, dams, canals, railroad tunnels, rack railroads, The Shinkansen high speed trains in Japan and other many other civil works in the distant past like the roman aqueducts and the hand dug water tunnels in Iran and The Panama Canal,The Panama Canal Zone, the Suez Canal, I hope to find out more about the transiberian canal from the Caspian Sea to points east and the canals in England and Europe.
