Hi hey hello!

Post by alise_ilus »

Hello fellow readers, I am new to this website and I thought I'd introduce myself to you! :)
I am a book lover just like you, some of my favourite authors include Irvine Welsh, Neil Gaiman, Truman Capote and Jack Kerouac. I love reading most types of fiction; with the exception of romance, young adult and sci-fi. I also enjoy non fiction, especially Christopher Hitchens and Oliver Sacks.I don't read self help books or inspirational non fiction, I mostly gravitate towards psychology, socialism and religion(mostly anti-religion and the occult).
I also enjoy writing and would like to dedicate my life working in journalism. I am currently talking myself into taking the route of self publishing a zine. However a writers block has taken over my life but I am slowly working myself out of it.
Apart from reading and loosing myself in books I am also passionate about music, currently redecorating my flat, gardening and spending too much time watching documentaries and old horror movies.

I guess that's me in a nutshell.
I am excited to join this community and hopefully meet more like minded people! :)
