GOOD GOVERNANCE AND NEED FOR ACCOUNTABILITY

Post by onyemaechiuzoma1234 »

I am lawrence Nnadi and just registered for the online book review club. My area of interest though is not that specific but i can be able to review books on general issues bothering on politics, administration ,the civil service, public policy, human relations, and mass communication . I am using this medium to say hello to everyone who is part of the review club. Countries and governments all over the world have negated and reneged on their promises to create an enabling forum and environment for their citizens and more often that not several cases of corruption , fraudulent practices and nepotism to mention but a few are the order of the day. the issue of social amenities becomes an unending promise and instead white elephant projects are being set up through cronies where the individual and personal gains of government officials are satisifed at the detriment of the citizens. it is high time the issue of accountability, sanctions and close monitoring should be applied to check this ugly trend. The insensitivity nature of the government could be seen mostly in African countries and even in some western countries it is prevalent.
