Hello, my name is Joann
Because of the internet, I don't read as much as I use to, but am getting back into it. Especially thanks to kindle. I have always loved reading and writing. Both were my escapes since I was a little girl who got teased in school because of her weight until I learned to ignore them. As soon as I had stopped reacting to the teasing they stopped because it was no longer 'fun' for them anymore. I love writing because it saved me, especially in school. My blank books at first were just spiral notebooks and I would write down anything and everything in them. From thoughts and feelings to imaginings. Eventually, I'd write down ideas for stories and articles and stuff I wanted to research because I love learning too. So I have been reading and writing for as long as I can remember, but have not been brave enough to submit anything. But perhaps someday. I had just joined a writer's group at a church near me and am very nervous about it. I had joined it online yesterday so haven't gone to the first meeting yet. Well, that's enough about me, at least for now. Stay safe everyone, it's a crazy world we live in.

"In the case of good books, the point is not to see how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you." (Mortimer J. Adler)

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for Thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. ~ Psalms 4:8
