Uncooked Cookies and Me

Post by alyuncookies »

Hello! I'm Aly, and the uncookies in my username refers to one of my favourite treats - uncooked cookies (aka cookie dough)! :D

As you might be able to tell, I'm a wee bit bonkers but all the best people are, right? Due to an unfortunate series of events, I have become chronically ill with a nerve-related disease. 'Chronic' here means constant or continuing, and in this instance refers to the status of being ill for at least 6 months.

Due to my disability, I am half sick of shadows, and consequently have increasingly immersed myself in the world of books. You may have noticed that I love poetry, fantasy, and classics, though I am also fond of thrillers, urban fantasy, steampunk, sci-fi, horror, mysteries, mythology, history, and pretty much a bit of everything else! :)

Anyways, my dear Online Book Club, do not waste your time on this introduction, it is sad trash! :P (Just kidding - reading is a conversation!)

It is a pleasure to meet you all!

Much love,
Aly :angelic-flying:

That was such a good introduction, and I agree that the picture is absolutely gorgeous, as you will gather, I am also a serious puddie-cat fan! So sorry to hear about your health issues, but of course you are right, books are such a solace and an escape. I have some seriously odd food cravings, too - eg, cheesesticks dipped in honey!

Ooo, that actually sounds kind of delicious! And your cat looks gorgeous (though not great if you were saving an unfinished chess game for later!) Glad you liked my intro :D
