Greetings, all!

Post by Lincolnshirelass »

Hello, everyone, from the East of England (hope I'm welcome here!) where I have discovered this Book Group that looks pretty awesome and look forward to being a member, talking all about my favourite subject (books!) and maybe making new friends.

I'm female and in the (ahem!) prime of life. I read across the board, anything from classics to magazines and the whole plethora in between. Favourite writers include Jodi Picoult, Diane Chamberlain, Philippa Gregory, Minette Walters, Nicholas Sparks, etc. I also have a weakness for 'nostalgic' fiction and inherited my Mum's collection of Norah Lofts, Phylis Whitney etc. Also a lover of the 'classics' (though it's so hard to know where to draw the line and perhaps arbitrary) with a special liking for Thomas Hardy, and have read Charlotte Bronte's 'Jane Eyre' about 90 times - okay, maybe I'm given to exaggeration! In non-fiction, I enjoy biographies and autobiographies, true crime, 'unexplained' stuff etc.

Aside from reading, I love music - specially but by no means exclusively classical - cats, travel, chess, coffee, and much more.

Thanks for having me!

Love Judith
