Hello!

I am a high school English teacher and I love to read in my spare time. Currently I am subscribed to BOTM. It has been a nice way to push myself out of my comfort zone and read genres I wouldn’t normally pick up. I also read for NetGalley and enjoy writing reviews. Although I did my bachelors in creative writing, I haven’t really dabbled in publishing myself. I’ve got two kids in elementary school, so I also find myself reading a lot of children’s books these days.

My favorite genre is gothic horror, although I don’t mind a spooky thriller. I also read romance when I need something fluffy and entertaining. When I was younger I read a lot of fantasy and science fiction. I do try to avoid books dealing with infant loss. Since I teach, I’m always looking for new and interesting short stories or poems that will engage my teenage students.
