Can anyone recommend any books that have characters on the autism spectrum or books that may explain autism to children? Children's books only please. Thanks!

I can't think of any children's fiction, which is terribly sad!

I've subscribed to this topic so I can enjoy whatever suggestions you get. :D

There is a non-fiction book, if that is any help.
The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida. He has autism and was thirteen when he wrote this. It's a very interesting read!
Pronouns: She/Her

Some non-fiction books for autistic kids and families:

-The Survival Guide for Kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders (and Their Parents) by Elizabeth Verdick and Elizabeth Reeve
-The Asperger Children’s Toolkit by Francis Musgrave
-The Asperkid’s (Secret) Book of Social Rules: The Handbook of Not-so-Obvious Social Guidelines for Tweens and Teens with Asperger Syndrome by Jennifer Cook O’Toole
-Can I Tell You About Asperger’s Syndrome? by Jude Welton
-Autism Is...? Ymkje Wideman-van der Laan

(These last two are set up as "stories" so they maybe count as fiction? IDK.)

Some fiction books featuring autistic kids include:

-What it is to be Me! by Angela Wine
-Noah Chases the Wind by Michelle Worthington
-All My Stripes: A Story for Children with Autism by
Shaina Rudolph and Danielle Royer
-A Boy Called Bat by Elena Arnold
-A Friend Like Simon by Kate Gaynot
-A Whole New Ballgame by Phil Bildner
-Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko
-Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine
-Anything but Typical by Nora Raleigh Baskin
-Kids Like Us Hilary Reyl
