In Need of My Next Paranormal Obsession

Post by ZelRansom »

Hey guys!
This is my first time posting on this website, but not the first time playing for a book recommendation this week. Anyways I’m a member of Goodreads and posted a discussion there for recommendations, but of course no one responded. I’m hoping you guys will help me out because I literally spend more time searching for books than reading them. So I compiled a list of what I like, but not all of the elements are necessary!

So to start, all the series that I’m in love with:
1. Dorina Basarab Series by Karen Chance (but couldn’t get into the Cassandra Palmer series she wrote)
2. Crossbreed Series by Dannika Dark (but wasn’t interested in the other series she wrote)
3. Nikki Glass series by Jenna Black

Reasons why I loved these books:
1. Strong/tough heroine MC
2. SUPER SLOW burn romances
3. Love 1st POV (I like to be ‘in’ the action, not ‘watching’ it haha)
4. I have a huge thing for vampires and mythology (lame, right? Haha)
5. Please NO YA
6. This one isn’t necessary, but if at all possible send some minority MC my way too haha

Thanks in advance, you guys! :)

My top three suggestions would be Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon and J R Ward. Gena Showalter has some good reads too

Though technically urban fantasy, Seanan McGuire's October Daye series covers a lot of this. But it doesn't really focus on the romance.
Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series, and her Alpha and Omega series fit (though Mercy is a slower building romance).
Kim Harrison's The Hollows series fits this (trust me, the real romance takes a long time to build). Plus there's vampires.
Pronouns: She/Her

What is grief, if not love persevering?

Grief is just love with no place to go.
