Good day everyone, I am J P from Cape Town, South Africa.
I am making a reading list for the parents of African children. A list of books that will empower the reader
and give value such that reading becomes a regular behaviour. To this end I have made a spreadsheet
of recommended books, divided by age and gender, ie
boys 5 to 7 girls 5 to 7
boys 7 to 9 girls 7 to 9
boys 9 to 12 girls 9 to 12
boys 12 to 14 girls 12 to 14
boys 14 to 16 girls 14 to 16
boys 16 to 18 girls 16 to 18
boys 18 to 21 women 18 and up
men 21 and up
biographies and autobiographies

Please help if you have book or author recommendations. Many thanks !

This is a little more mature, so I would recommend that this book be read by at least 14 year olds. I really enjoyed The Girl With Many Gifts by M.R. Carrie. It’s a science fiction/fantasy post-apocalyptic novel with well-rounded characters, chilling plot twists, and a satisfying ending.
Where is the line between insanity and creativity?
Is the reality of the world different from how we perceive and experience it in our minds? Does physical reality exist apart from the human mind?
