Police Fiction

Post by innercitysrvvr »

Looking for a book (series would be better) that reminds me of Hill Street Blues or Southland. I have read Harry Bosch, Alex Cross, and Badge of Honor. I want a plot that focuses on the everyday life of patrol officers. Suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

There's a trilogy by F.P Lione that gets pretty real. It's told from the perspective of a night-shift New York cop. The first book is The Duce. From answering calls, to his hobbies before and after shift, and even family details, it's definitely an everyday life story.

It's the only police fiction I've read, so I'm sorry I can't compare it with the others in the category.
