Favorite Paranormal/Romance Novels?

Post by cmalone17 »

I just love a good romance novel about the paranormal or supernatural. I recently reread the Hush, Hush series and I really would love to find more books like it. I've also read the Fallen series and loved it as well.

Diana Rowland (White Trash Zombie series), or literally anything by Molly Harper (Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, she has it all) I haven’t read the books you have mentioned, but I loved these (they have strong language, violence, and the second author some steamy sex scenes) they are not primarily romance, although there is a romantic element (more so with Harper’s book). Rowland’s books are a little darker, a little more serious, Harper is going for the chuckle or the full-on body laugh. Let me know if you check them out. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did if you do.

Two series that are real favourites of mine are the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr and the Modern Tale of Faerie series by Holly Black.

Have you tried Barbara Erskine? Specially if you also enjoy an historical element, I think you may like her work.

Sherrilyn Kenyon has an amazing romance/adventure paranormal universe in which she has set a couple of series. The Dark Hunter series and the Chronicles of Nick (YA series) are the best ones. I love that she has put a unique spin on ‘vampire’ folklore by combining it with a mythological element. Her characters are very easy to love and in terms of swearing she keeps it relatively PG which I appreciated. I recommend starting with Night Pleasures and then voraciously reading everything else!
