Old classical books

Is it possible to find old books like Shakespear's plays online in soft copy form? I am looking for The Merchant of Venice first. If you can give me suggestions of other books written centuries ago, I will appreciate.

You can try this website: /www.gutenberg.org. You will get ebooks of many books that are now in public domain.

I'll echo the Gutenberg comment. I'd also just type the name of the work you are looking for into Google. You'll almost always find a free PDF version somewhere.

Yeah, you can find the e book version of any book that was written at least 50 years ago. You will mostly find plays and poetry because they are older genre. I would suggest you to read "Every man in his humour" by Ben Johnson.

Is there an e-book version of this? I actually haven't seen any.
